How it works

  1. Choose your file — Pick what you want to send. Size and expiry depend on your plan.
  2. We never see it — Your browser encrypts and splits the file. The decryption key never leaves your device—it's only in the link (after the #). Our servers never receive the key or the original file.
  3. Share the link — Send the full link to the recipient. Only they can open it before it expires.
  4. They open it — Their browser fetches encrypted fragments, decrypts locally, and reassembles the file. We never see the decrypted content.
  5. It disappears — When the link expires or hits its open limit, the encrypted fragments are removed. We can't recover the file or the key.

FAQ

Can you see my files?
No. Your device encrypts the file before anything is sent. The key stays in the link (the fragment after #), which the browser never sends to our server. We only store encrypted pieces that we cannot decrypt.
What happens if I lose the link?
We can't recover it. The key is only in the link. If you lose the link, the file cannot be reconstructed. That's by design: only someone with the full link can open the file.
Is this like Google Drive / WeTransfer?
No. Those are storage or hosting: they keep your file on their servers and can access it. TeleportLink is one-time delivery: we hold encrypted fragments we can't read, and when the link expires or is used, the file is removed. We're not a place to store or back up files.
Do I need an account?
You can create and open teleports without an account. For more capacity, longer expiry, or a dashboard of your active links, you can sign up for a plan.
