Terms of Service

Welcome to TeleportLink. These terms are designed to be fair, transparent, and founder-friendly. By using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. Service Description
TeleportLink is a zero-knowledge ephemeral file transfer service. It allows you to share files securely using end-to-end encryption. Files are automatically deleted after expiry or consumption.
What TeleportLink IS:
- Ephemeral file delivery (send once, expire automatically)
- Zero-knowledge encryption (we can't decrypt your files)
- Temporary storage for file transfers
What TeleportLink is NOT:
- Cloud storage (files expire and are deleted)
- Backup service (no long-term retention)
- File hosting platform (links are temporary)
- Content delivery network (not for website assets)
2. Acceptable Use Policy
You may use TeleportLink to share files legally. You may NOT use it for:
Illegal Content
No pirated software, copyrighted material (without permission), CSAM, malware, or any content that violates local, state, or federal laws.
Spam or Phishing
No mass distribution of unsolicited files, phishing attacks, or social engineering schemes.
Abuse or Harassment
No doxxing, harassment, hate speech, or threats. Don't use TeleportLink to harm others.
Service Abuse
No automated scraping, rate-limit circumvention, DDoS attacks, or intentional overload of our infrastructure.
Long-Term Storage
TeleportLink is for temporary transfers, not permanent hosting. Repeatedly re-uploading the same file to bypass expiry is prohibited.
Enforcement: While we cannot see file contents (zero-knowledge), we may investigate abuse reports, pattern-based anomalies, or legal requests. Violations may result in account suspension or termination without refund.
3. Account Rules
One Account Per Person
You may only create one account. Creating multiple accounts to bypass free-plan limits is prohibited and may result in all accounts being terminated.
Accurate Information
Provide accurate email information during signup. We use email for billing, service updates, and account recovery.
Account Security
You are responsible for securing your account. Use a strong password with Google OAuth. Notify us immediately if your account is compromised.
No Resale
You may not resell, sublicense, or share your account credentials with others. Accounts are non-transferable.
4. Plan Limits
TeleportLink offers Free, Plus, and Ultimate plans with different limits. Plan limits are described on our Pricing page and may change with reasonable notice.
Important Notes:
- Limits are subject to change as we optimize the service
- We'll notify paid users 30 days before reducing limits
- Exceeding limits may result in upload failures or rate limiting
- Free users have the most restrictive limits (file size, expiry, storage)
Fair Use: Paid plans have generous limits, but we reserve the right to throttle or suspend accounts that abuse the service (e.g., using 100% of quota 24/7 for months). We'll contact you before taking action.
5. Payment Terms
Billing
Plus and Ultimate plans are billed monthly or annually via Razorpay. Payments are processed securely, and we never store your card details.
Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled. You can cancel anytime from your account dashboard. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.

See our Refund Policy for full details. In short: 14-day money-back guarantee for all paid plans.
Price Changes
We may change plan pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers are grandfathered at their current price until they cancel or change plans.
6. Service Availability ("As-Is" Disclaimer)
TeleportLink is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We strive for 99.9% uptime, but we cannot guarantee:
- Uninterrupted access (maintenance, outages, or attacks may occur)
- Error-free operation (bugs happen, we fix them quickly)
- Permanent file availability (files expire by design)
- Compatibility with all devices or browsers
Downtime: We'll notify users of planned maintenance. Unplanned outages will be resolved ASAP. No refunds for temporary downtime (unless it exceeds 48 consecutive hours).
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Lost Files
We are not liable for lost files due to expiry, deletion, link loss, corruption, or technical failures. Back up important files elsewhere.
Data Loss
While we use reliable storage (Cloudflare R2), we are not responsible for data loss caused by third-party failures, attacks, or force majeure events.
Corrupt Transfers
Files are encrypted and fragmented. If decryption fails or fragments are missing, we cannot recover the original file. This is a design constraint, not a bug.
Third-Party Actions
We are not liable for actions taken by recipients (e.g., sharing your link publicly, misusing files, or data breaches on their end).
Damages Cap: Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $100, whichever is lower).
8. Key Recovery Disclaimer
CRITICAL: We CANNOT Recover Lost Links or Keys
TeleportLink uses zero-knowledge encryption. The decryption key is embedded in the link (after the # symbol) and never reaches our servers. If you lose the link:
- The file is unrecoverable (by design)
- We cannot decrypt it (we don't have the key)
- No amount of money or legal pressure can change this
This is a feature, not a bug. It ensures we can never be forced to decrypt your files.
By using TeleportLink, you acknowledge this limitation and accept responsibility for securely storing your links.
9. Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the files you upload. TeleportLink is a "dumb pipe"—we cannot see, scan, or moderate file contents due to end-to-end encryption.
If you share illegal content and we receive a legal request or abuse report, we may:
- Suspend your account pending investigation
- Comply with lawful data requests (metadata only—we can't decrypt files)
- Terminate your account without refund
DMCA Compliance: If you believe copyrighted material is being shared via TeleportLink, email support@builtbysharan.com with details. We'll investigate and take appropriate action.
10. Account Termination
By You
Cancel anytime from your dashboard. Access continues until the end of your billing period. See Refund Policy for refund eligibility.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate accounts for ToS violations, abuse, legal reasons, or non-payment. No refunds for ToS violations.
Effect of Termination: All active transfers will be deleted. Encrypted fragments cannot be recovered after deletion. Export your data before closing your account.
11. Modifications to Terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced via email (for paid users) or a prominent notice on the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Notification Period: We'll provide 30 days' notice for major changes. If you disagree, cancel your account before the changes take effect.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest of the terms remain in effect.
